Garden Song is a wonderful 1836 home. Warm and welcoming. Beautifully appointment. And close to all in Natchez. Chef Kevin’s breakfast is delicious. Dan is a wonderful host. I will be back to visit again. (GardenSong, Cole Porter Suite, Airbnb Review)

Soul and spirit of Natchez! GardenSong embodies everything that is wonderful about Natchez, from the beautiful gardens and charming architectural details to the warmth and hospitality of its owner. The rooms are spacious and beautifully authentic, and in the evening the B&B comes alive as guests mingle and Dan’s piano music drifts up the stunning stairway. Breakfast is served in a gorgeous, light-filled kitchen that glows with the warmth of old wood and bursting with friendly chatter. We could have happily stayed for an eternity! (Trip Advisor Review)

Pleasant Surprise. We truly enjoyed our stay at GardenSong. The location is great for this lovely antebellum home, beautifully decorated with relaxing gardens and fountains. Our room, the Nat King Cole, was spacious, well appointed, and very comfortable. The owner Dan was a wonderful host. He entertained us with fascinating stories about the history of the home, conversation about Natchez, playing the piano and treating us to a song or two. Chef Kevin prepared a delicious breakfast cooked to order daily and was equally welcoming and friendly. We really felt at home at GardenSong. We highly recommend it! We loved it and will definitely be back! (Trip Advisor Review)

Great choice in Uptown Natchez. GardenSong is a really great place to stay, it has much going for it, beautiful antebellum home, inviting décor, crepe myrtle lined street, good part of town, etc. There are many B&B’s in Natchez that have similar creds, but what makes GardenSong really special is Dan, the host, and his staff, all of whom do everything they can to make guests feel like favored relatives rather than simply customers. When Dan says his home is your home, he genuinely means it. Don’t miss the opportunity to have him play and sing for you as you lounge in the front parlor sipping wine and enjoying the company of new found friends. Our dog Max gave it four dew claws up, top score! (Trip Advisor Review)

Wonderful Stay. This B&B is a true blessing, from the old-time vintage charm to the warmth of the owner, the gentleman who prepared breakfast and even the keeper of the gardens. The home is very welcoming and exactly as portrayed. (Trip Advisor Review)

You will be SOOOO happy at Gardensong Airbnb! The chef (sorry, I can’t remember his name, but he is fabulous; senior moment), outdid himself each day…with a finale of shrimp and grits, along with crepes Benedict! Dan is such a wonderful host, and we will definitely be back!!! Loved this place and its hosts!!!! (GardenSong, Nat King Cole Suite, Airbnb Reviews)

Awesome! GardenSong B & B is the BEST place to stay in Natchez! We stayed in the Nat King Cole room recently and slept on the most comfortable bed ever! And the bathroom was huge with every convenience. And there were wonderful choices for breakfast – the chef is super nice and super talented at his job. We did not get to meet the owner (I think he was away for the night) but he left very nice instructions for us to make ourselves at home and enjoy his home and gardens, including his wine. And the gardens! – worthy of a spread in Southern Living – peaceful and serene, as is the whole street. Love this place! (BedandBreakfast.com Review)

Our stay at GardenSong was the highlight of our road trip through Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, Alabama, and Kentucky! Dan was the embodiment of Southern hospitality…..from his gracious welcome, to his fascinating history of the house, to his special song for us….it was indeed delightful!
Chef Kevin charmingly chatted with us while preparing a delicious breakfast….nothing was missed! And then, Cookie gave me a lovely gardenia, which added fragrance to the car for the rest of the day!
I cannot say enough good things about Dan, his team, GardenSong, and Natchez. We would love to come back, just to be able to spend more time absorbing this fabulous Southern charm! (Trip Advisor Review)

Pat, September 2018

An excellent B&B! I haven’t stayed in many in the states, but I would say this one is unusual. The vibe is (very) relaxed – the front door was open when I got there with the key in the door to my room! But there was an envelope with my name on with all instructions I needed. WiFi was stated as temperamental and that proved to be the case but I wasn’t there on business and so it didn’t really bother me. Location was excellent for visiting Natchez. You can walk everywhere. The surrounds to the house are lovely and relaxing, porch and gardens. Kevin made a great breakfast in the morning and was very nice yet not at all over-bearing – he judged it just right. Only negative I have is I couldn’t get the coffee machine in my room to work, but I am willing to concede that could well have been user error!! Thanks Dan – you have a beautiful home!! Exactly what my wife and I needed! My wife and I visited Natchez for a wedding. She is originally from Natchez and has always had a great love for both the well know historic homes and the many historic homes that are not in the tour guide. Garden song is a gem on Washington Street with an amazing history and a bright future. Owner, Dan Gibson, is a true southern gentleman. He knows the history of Natchez and its homes, he plays piano and he makes you feel like his home is your home. His Chef, Kevin, is an amazing person and a delight to talk with when you break bread with other guests at the dining room table. It will take you back to the days when people used conversation for entertainment rather than the internet. The master suite was amazing. My wife especially enjoyed the master bath. I enjoyed the gardens and the history. We were able to walk to many downtown attractions and most of all just take a stroll up Washington Street to see the beautiful homes and landscapes. Bring a camera!!! Highly recommend this home for its charm and value when you make a trip down the Trace to Natchez. (Trip Advisor Review)

My Hunting Season Haven!! Since finding Garden Song, I suddenly love that my husband has a hunting lease in Natchez! It’s my absolute favorite place to stay. If I go shopping or we stay out late for dinner – we come “home” to a lit fireplace and a glass of wine. During the holiday season, Dan sets the tone by playing the piano and singing holiday tunes. Waking up to Kevin’s sweet potato biscuits is even better when it’s paired with one of Dan’s great stories. Dan can tell you a story about every place and person in the town! The main bed on the 2nd floor is dangerously comfortable (I have to MAKE myself get out of it to go down for breakfast) and the room is set up perfect for a family with small kids or teenagers. 5 Star B&B. This was our 3rd stay at Gardensong, my wife and I have been twice, and this time we brought along my son, daughter and son-in-law and grandson. Staff is top notch, we loved sitting around the living room by the fireplace, while Dan entertained us on the piano. Breakfast is always great! The sweet potatoes biscuits are wonderful. We will certainly be back. If you’re looking for a great B&B experience in Natchez, look no further than Gardensong! If you come during the Holiday season, Dan may even sing you a Christmas carol or two. (Trip Advisor Review)

Treated like family! Where to start? From the helpful and friendly phone conversations for reservations to the heart felt goodbyes with Dan and Kevin when we left, our experience with Gardensong was truly wonderful. I and all of our party felt like family. We stayed 3 nights over the Memorial day weekend and our party had all three of the rooms booked which meant we had Gardensong to ourselves or so we thought. Our stay turned into a family get-together with our new family of Dan the owner and Kevin the chef. The breakfast prepared by Kevin was a great start to each day. We enjoyed the sun room with complimentary sodas and wine during the early evening. And throughout the day when our party wasn’t seeing the sites of Natchez, Dan played tunes on the piano by request and impromptu. We all shared stories of our families and Dan shared the history of the home and of Natchez itself. Our last night at Gardensong we had a special evening meal prepared by Kevin to celebrate wedding anniversaries and milestone birthdays in our group – what a memorable time. Kevin led us in grace prior to our meal and Dan played the piano with tunes fit for the occasion. The meal was delicious and the memories will last forever. When we departed later Monday morning, we left as family and promised to return. Thank you again Dan and Kevin for such a special weekend. (Trip Advisor Review)

Dan is a long -term resident of Natchez and was helpful in providing us with places to visit. We enjoyed two days of a delicious breakfast prepared by Chef Kevin and Chef Ruth. We had the top room on the third floor. It was a climb; however, it was a large space and quiet. We took advantage of the beverages provided by our host and enjoyed asking him questions and inquiring about various aspects of Natchez. Dan you were very patient and answered all of our questions. Thanks. J and J. (GardenSong, Vivaldi Suite, Airbnb Review)

Charme der Vergangenheit! Wunderbare Reise in die Vergangenheit, viel über das Haus und seine Geschichte erfahren. Southern Hospitality at its best. We stayed at GardenSong on a Monday night. We pulled in late afternoon and were immediately met by our host, Dan Gibson, who invited us to join a small gathering at the back. Wine, great stories, laughs. So welcoming. And, as a fan of old house, Dan was a font of information about the house, built in 1836 from a kit. The house was fascinating and the interior was spectacular. Then, Dan regaled us with some numbers from the piano, taking requests and playing them by ear. Pretty amazing. Dan knows Natchez. He pointed us in the right direction on any number of questions we had. The room was comfortable, clean and had absolutely everything we needed. The next morning, breakfast in the morning was wonderful, as was the man who cooked it and served it to us. I forget his name. Lastly, this is a great place to stay in Natchez if you want to park the car and walk. Everything is nearby. And, every walk to every destination is a good one-you can’t beat Natchez for history and architecture. And, thanks to Dan, hospitality. (Trip Advisor Review)

Gardensong is great! Natchez is a beautiful town full of antebellum homes in wonderful condition. Gardensong is one of these homes which includes a beautiful sculpted garden. The owner, Dan, is very friendly and especially accommodating. He is a musician who treated us to several songs accompanying himself on a beautiful grand piano. He shared several stories about the history of Natchez and his home. Our room was beautiful and especially comfortable. The breakfast and Ruth were a real treat. This is the place to stay in Natchez. Dan is a most generous and hospitable host, as well as being an incredibly talented pianist. We sat around in the evening chatting with the other guests, enjoying drinks and Dan’s piano playing. It was easy to imagine life in the 1800s, particularly with Dan’s history lesson of the house. The rooms are comfortable, breakfast was yummy, the location is convenient- Natchez is a really wonderful stop on any Deep South tour. (GardenSong, Cole Porter Suite, Airbnb Review)

Best B&B ever! My husband and I spent four nights at Gardensong B&B last week and thoroughly enjoyed the company of Dan, (owner) and Kevin (chef) and their hospitality! It is a quaint three story B&B with a lovely garden, located within an easy walk of the downtown of Natchez. Dan’s charming B&B and his wit and musical entertainment are something you don’t want to miss. Chef Kevin holds his own with his beautiful tenor voice, not to mention the fabulous breakfasts he prepares each morning! The rooms are typically B&B comfortable with everything you might need. Would give 10 stars if I could. If you want a wonderful experience, stay at the Garden Song. Dan who owns the home and Kevin who makes the best breakfast make you feel as if you are at home. The location of the home allows you to walk to many of the homes and restaurants If available, request the Nat King Cole bedroom. The bedroom is located on the first floor and has a unbelievable bathroom. However, any bedroom will be a great experience. Dan enjoys entertaining guests on the old piano in the parlor. If you want a real treat, request that Kevin sing amazing grace to the tune of the House of the Rising Sun. (Trip Advisor Review)

William & Tiki, March 2018

Nice Antebellum House in heart of Natchez! We pulled up to B & B with a ton of parking. A welcome packet with our name on it was just outside the front door. Piano music could be heard as we approached the front door. Just inside was a baby grand piano played by an accomplished friend of the owner. Our room was on the 2nd floor so getting luggage up the stairway was a little difficult but not too bad. Key was in the door and the room was just as advertised. Two bedrooms since our dAugusthter and grand Augusthter were with us. Nice view of beautiful garden was outside one of the bedrooms. Bed was extremely comfortable. The next morning when we went downstairs coffee and juice was awaiting us. We met Kevin who was the breakfast chef. Extremely friendly he made us a wonderful southern breakfast. The owner Dan checked on us and asked if we would like him to play a song on the piano. He was incredible. Also very friendly. We stayed for 3 days. It was nice to come back to a quiet residence after days of sightseeing, eating and shopping. A small refrigerator was available with wine, soft drinks and water for guests. There is a large front porch.to sit outside and enjoy the ambiance of antebellum Natchez. I would highly recommend GardenSong. It is comfortable and has the best owner and staff in Natchez. A great stay for business (or pleasure)! I recently stayed in the Cole Porter suite at GardenSong B&B when I was in town on business. It was an amazing stay, and not my first. I’ve also had the privilege of staying in the Nat King Cole suite, as well. You talk about fine accommodations! Not only was the bedroom wonderful, but that bathroom is a sight to behold! It’s almost as big as the bedroom. But the most wonderful thing is the home-made breakfast Kevin cooks! His sweet potato biscuits should be marketed. And I would put his shrimp and grits up against any restaurant anywhere.I look forward to my next visit to Natchez. I know where I’m staying. (Trip Advisor Review)

Scott, February 2018

Small and intimate B&B experience. We stayed on the second floor. The room was very nice, though we didn’t spend a lot of time there. We spent more time downstairs in the “living room” with a fireplace and comfy couches. We were a bit surprised on arrival that there was no check-in desk waiting for us. This was our first time in such a small “homey” kind of B&B. As we were looking around as we walked inside, we were greeted by the owner, Dan. He is such a wonderful host, knowledgeable about the history of the property, entertaining both as a host and a musician, and just plain friendly. With only 3 rooms available, breakfast was a “personal” experience with great food (especially the pancakes) provided by Kevin and a great chance to meet the “neighbors” in the hotel. The location was great, within walking distance of several restaurants and shops, although the weather for much of the weekend did not cooperate for the walking experience. This is, indeed, though such a cozy place in a great part of town. (Trip Advisor Review)

Best B&B experience! We stayed in Mayor’s House for one night. This is about two blocks from Gardensong B&B. The reviews for this B&B are all excellent for a reason. Dan is an awesome host. The property is beautiful and if you haven’t experienced the historic Natchez yet, you owe it to yourself. Natchez was the wealthiest city in the whole country before civil war and most of it stayed undestroyed in the war. Several of the antebellum houses have been restored to full glory and provide you an opportunity to witness history frozen in time. The people are friendly and laid back. There are nice food options around the city (we recommend Rolling River Bistro). With the Mayor’s House, you get the whole house to yourself. It is huge, nicely decorated, equipped with interesting books, board games, fire pit and sitting area in the backyard, full kitchen (pots and pans, silverware, dinner sets, Keurig), stocked fridge (water, soda, wine, coffee creamer), and has comfortable beds for 7 people (Dan would provide air mattresses for extra guests). There were also lot of channels on TV and internet worked (a bit slow though). The property also allows pets so we didn’t have to board my dAugusthter’s little dog. This is everything we needed for a wonderful stay with a friend family. We walked to GardenSong for breakfast in the morning and the chef (Kevin) provided fast and excellent service. Cozy and inviting place to stay. We had a wonderful stay in Dan’s home. We enjoyed hearing about the history of the home, and hearing Dan play his grand piano. What a treat! Beds were comfortable, décor pleasant, and shower was hot. Breakfast was a delight and tasted great. We had a choice of 4 different things for breakfast. I had the shrimp and grits…great choice. We enjoyed speaking with the chef, Kevin. What an awesome person! We needed accommodations that had two rooms adjoining, and one needed to have twin beds, an arrangement not often found in old homes. This B&B had the perfect set up for us.
You won’t be disappointed booking this spot. It’s close to everything. You’ll have a lovely time!! (Trip Advisor Review)

Wonderful wonderful Inn, great location, clean, well appointed rooms! Kevin did a phenomenal job with breakfast, Dan’s hospitality is what the south is famous for. I would not hesitate to return or recommend this B&B to anyone. Very much looking forward to return in the hopefully not so distant future. Loved being here and Natchez. A wonderful stay, the perfect host! We stayed in this gem of a house on the night of Christmas Eve and our experience was wonderful. Our host Dan made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived.
The home has been beautifully maintained and was decorated so nicely for the holidays from the homemade Christmas wreath with fresh fruit to the large Christmas tree all of it was just so nice!
Our room which is called the Cole Porter room if I’m not mistaken was clean and perfectly decorated to reflect the homes history. The room was quite spacious and because it had a second room with two beds could comfortably accommodate several guests. Surrounding the perfectly restored 1836 house is a cute garden that I’m sure is at its best in the spring when everything is flowering. And though their regular chef had been given Christmas Day off Dan made sure we had a filling breakfast casserole and plenty of hot coffee to get our day started. His spiced tea was also a hit and we couldn’t help taking some with us to go! I thoroughly enjoyed my conversation with both Dan and his brother about local history and old movies. Interestingly Dan had recently found out that Clark Gable had at one point visited the home. I can’t say enough about our stay at this beautiful property. Being Christmas our opportunities to visit some of the many antebellum homes in Natchez were limited so we’ll have to return to this Southern jewel of a city and GardenSong will be our first choice for accommodations! A. Rodriguez, December 2017

Wonderful stay! My husband and I recently spent the weekend with two other couples at Garden Song so we had the house to ourselves, other than the wonderful host, Dan. The excellent southern charm of this B&B, along with top notch personal service with Kevin (amazing chef) and Dan was simply amazing. Dan even entertained us with Christmas songs on his piano. It was just the right touch to make the weekend stay even more fabulous! Not to mention the bed was so comfortable, and the complementary wine set the evenings. I highly recommend staying here and we cannot wait to come back to visit. (Trip Advisor Review)

Marie, December 2017

My partner Jess and I stayed here with our family on 30 December 2017. While we unfortunately missed Dan who was out of town during our stay, we thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation and hospitality of Kevin who cooked us an amazing breakfast. We would highly recommend this place to our friends and family, or anyone who is looking to stay in the Natchez area. (Gardensong, Nat King Cole Suite, Airbnb Reviews)

Jarrad, December 2017

Dan was a charming and delightful host for our recent stay right before Christmas. The rooms were amazing, the house and grounds were beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Kevin was the most attentive chef and kindly made us some of his world class pancakes – literally the best I’ve ever eaten. They’re not on the menu but if you write them in he’ll be happy to oblige! 10/10. (GardenSong, Cole Porter Suite, Airbnb Review)

Our stay was brief but will remain etched in our memories forever. The peaceful grounds, comfortable beds, historical significance, and serene atmosphere were surpassed only by Kevin’s warmth, hospitality, and absolutely best ever grits (as well as everything else he served us). Thank you for a memorable experience in Natchez. (GardenSong, Cole Porter Suite, Airbnb Review)

Very charming; beautiful home to stay at. My boyfriend and I stayed last weekend and it was great! Dan was so friendly and knowledgeable about the house and the area and even played the piano while we ate breakfast (which he cooked to order). He made us feel at home immediately and we’ve decided we won’t be staying in hotels any longer! (Trip Advisor Review)

Garden Song is the perfect B & B in Natchez. It is centrally located, many points of interest can be walked to. The home is warm and cozy and the host Dan and the chef Kevin are personable and friendly. They make your stay comfortable and memorable and can help you with dining and sight-seeing recommendations. All the rooms are wonderful and if you are lucky enough to stay upstairs you get a free workout every day! I left in much better shape than when I arrived! Do not hesitate to book with Dan, Garden Song is gorgeous and don’t forget to walk the gardens! (GardenSong, Cole Porter Suite, Airbnb Review)

Dan’s place is beautiful – it was inviting without being intimidating. It’s within walking distance to most of what the city has to offer in terms of entertainment, which was nice. Dan was out of town during our visit, so we unfortunately did not get to meet him, but Kevin was both an amazing cook and conversationalist. The room was comfortable, as was the rest of the house. It’s hard to put into words what you will experience at Garden Song. The best way I can describe it is with the words of the hymn “Surely the Spirit of the Lord is in this place”. Dan is a warm, talented and knowledgeable host and shares these talents with all who stay there. And our chef, Kevin, is not only a wonderful cook but when he is not cooking, he is a pastor and counselor with a real genuine love for the Lord and all the guests. What a dynamic duo this is! You will not find this in many other places and don’t miss it if you are visiting Natchez! (GardenSong, Vivaldi Suite, Airbnb Review)

Melissa, October 2017

A perfect home to stay at! We stayed at the Garden Song for 2 nights. We have stayed at numerous B&Bs, and none have ever offered us a menu to choose which breakfast we want or ask how we want our eggs; never have had a pianist play and sing for us while waiting on breakfast, and none have ever been as friendly as this owner and chef were! We loved everything about this B&B! The house is beautiful and the gardens are beautiful too! Breakfast was awesome: I even had my first taste of grits (We are from Illinois), and I actually liked them. Kevin is a great chef and Dan is a wonderful host! Loved everything about this B&B!! (Trip Advisor Review)

Melinda, October 2017

Excellent Choice in Great Little Town. The owner of this place has put tons of TLC into the look, evident from the moment you pull-up to the historic home to the look of things inside. We stayed in the Nat King Cole Suite on the first floor, so I can’t speak to the property’s upper chambers, but that suite was large, luxurious and ever so comfortable. The luxury bathroom was enormous and the king-sized four-poster bed was amazing. Check out the “electric” toilet, too. Crazy! You choose breakfast the night before (7:30 or 8:30 a.m. – your choice), leave a paper on the dining room table and the house chef shows up the next morning and gives you a wonderful send off to your day in Natchez. We had great little omelets. In general, people couldn’t be friendlier in this town and that goes for the owner/chef combination here. Location-wise, it’s possible to stay closer to the river and therefore be closer to the promenade. But honestly, everything there is to see in Natchez is rather spread out and you’re probably using your car to get to all of it, anyway. And with all the free parking around town, it really doesn’t matter much where you stay. This is on a quiet street with plenty of parking, a nice neighborhood in which to stroll, but also only a few minutes’ drive to the river (you could probably also walk there if the weather was nice, without much trouble). A beautiful property with a nice grand piano in the sitting room, comfy sitting area, a nice little garden and within minutes of Melrose (the Park Service mansion), Longwood (highly recommended) and the waterfront. Natchez is beautiful and this place is one of its jewels. (Trip Advisor Review)

It’s not often that I can say that all our expectations were exceeded, but that’s exactly what we experienced during our GardenSong stay. Accommodations were fabulous, comfortable, and convenient, but Dan’s hospitality was beyond measure! In addition to being a knowledgeable historian and storyteller, his musical talents were amazing! Kevin, in addition to being a great cook, was a very welcoming and engaging co-host who just made us feel so at-home! (GardenSong, Nat King Cole Suite, Airbnb Reviews)

This B&B exceeded our expectations. Clear instructions on check-in, amazing location and beautiful home/grounds! I loved that there was a bottle of wine waiting for us! Dan was so hospitable even though he couldn’t be there in person. It was a real treat feeling like we owned the home as we were the only ones staying there that night. Kevin was a gem the next morning serving us a tasty breakfast and exuding pure and honest hospitality and showing us a love for the area. I can’t say enough good things about this B&B! Dan’s place was fantastic and all that we envisioned for our stay in Natchez. The master bedroom and bathroom were perfect for us. The bathroom was awesome and HUGE! The bed was amazingly comfortable. While we were unable to meet Dan (he was out of town at a conference), his friend Scott helped us with questions and made us feel right at home. The sun parlor had a small fridge that was stocked with cold beer, wine, and drinks—a very nice touch! Breakfast in the morning was deliciously fantastic. Kevin, the chef, was one of the nicest people we have ever met; a real storyteller and gentleman. We’d highly recommend Dan’s house for anyone traveling to Natchez, which itself was an amazing town filled with history. (GardenSong, Nat King Cole Suite, Airbnb Reviews)

Knowledgeable and Helpful Base for Exploration. There is great effort here with music, food, books, and stories. There is faith, and people willing to discuss it. Natchez is a beautiful place, and visitors are welcome. The city smells good, and the GardenSong proprietor helped me see that it was due to the Sweet Olive Trees. The Cole Porter Suite is spacious. This Bed and Breakfast is part of a fine American experience, as fine as any for enthusiasts of history. (BedandBreakfast.com Review)

Dan told us some great stories about the home and even played a little piano in the morning while we waited for breakfast. (Trip Advisor Review)

Shiree, September 2017

Unforgettable! My family and I stayed at the GardenSong for a week. We were evacuating from Hurricane Irma and my husband had work in Natchez. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. It is more than a bed and breakfast, it is a home away from home. The house is as beautiful as the people who own and run it. The rooms are spacious and cozy, the neighborhood quiet and friendly. It is close to everything within walking distance. Dan is amazing, a very talented musician who plays piano and sings. Taking our minds off the impending storm. My son enjoyed him very much. Watching him do his woodworking and teaching him all about the history of Natchez. Kevin is more than an amazing chef, he is someone you can talk with and learn from. Being in this home is like something out of a movie. The people make it so full of life. Robert the gardener and his wife Cookie also add to this experience with great conversation and helpfulness. Shirley gives great hugs just when you need one most. A lot of the time when you are traveling you can feel a little alone, but not here. This house couldn’t be more comfortable complete with new friends and a family. We will defiantly be back and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. (Trip Advisor Review)

We stayed two nights in Natchez at Dan’s historic airbnb. The house is downtown Natchez, and you can walk almost anywhere in under 20 minutes. The breakfast that is provided is amazing, and you most likely won’t be hungry until well after lunch time. Kevin and Dan were very friendly, easy to talk too, and knowledgeable of the area. Danielle, August 2017

Amazing house! Quite an experience to stay there, and Dan’s hosting were outstanding. A really historic building with interesting, somewhat eclectic decor and fantastic to hear Dan tell its stories and entertain with some songs on the piano. Dan was also really helpful with recommendations. Beautiful garden, beautiful view and beautiful street. Our room was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Common areas were inviting, and it was a fine thing to have breakfast together at one table all five guests. Kevin’s cooking was great, and delicious, rather heavy meal. We found Natchez itself very beautiful, although rather deserted on a Saturday night – however the view over Mississippi river is outstanding. Also, the town also has a lot of history to explore. Dan’s mansion is the place to be if you’re looking for a luxurious break of your average daily life. It has everything we could wish for. The house is magnificently renovated and decorated, makes you feel like your living in a decoration-magazine. Every single table, tile and wallpaper has a story to tell. The rooms are large and clean, with beautiful beds and views on the streets. The veranda is perfect for enjoying a drink and just laid back for a while. The garden is authentic, with a very friendly gardener. The breakfast is the best we’ve had in USA, thanks to kevin, which is an inspirational figure! Last but certainly not least we have enormously enjoyed the host Dan, who has lots of interesting stories to tell about the history of the house and of America in general. He plays the piano, makes great recommendations and can answer all your questions. I would recommend it to everyone, it is so much more than just an amazing place to stay, it really makes you feel at home:) It’s worth (much more than) every penny. Thank you for having us! Didn’t want to leave! The location is ideal, in a lovely, quiet neighborhood. We stayed in the Cole Porter Suite. It is spacious and cozy with very comfortable beds. I can’t say enough about the hospitality extended to us by Dan and Kevin. We met as strangers and I feel we left as friends. Although Dan was busy preparing for a photo shoot for a local magazine, he took the time to play the piano and sing for us as well as give us a tour and history of the house. He stayed with us until we were ready to leave for the day. After serving our delicious breakfast, Kevin, too, took time to sit down and talk to us. I feel we were meant to stay at Garden Song and I know the experience will stay with me. (Trip Advisor Review)

Patience, July 2017

Lovely B and B in Natchez. Stayed for a two night getaway and was very pleased that this was a pet friendly B@B with no additional pet related fees. This is a smaller B@B (3 suites for rent) in the heart of the historic downtown area of Natchez. Very conveniently located to activities we were interested in (tours of Natchez and Antebellum homes, antique galleries, and the restaurants of choice). This B&B has been fairly recently purchased by the current owner and is in need of some “freshening up.” Still well appointed with antiques and all suites have private bathrooms which is a plus. Kevin is the Chef who prepares breakfast to order from a selection of choices and a fount of local information. Food was excellent with local (southern) favorites with New Orleans flair. Definitely a highlight. Dan the owner is extremely personable and when he heard it was my wife’s birthday immediately went over to the Baby Grand and plays/sang happy birthday. He is an accomplished musician and entertained the guests with piano selections; he also provided a history of the house itself and of Natchez as well. (Trip Advisor Review)

David, July 2017

Southern Hospitality. My husband and I spent two nights at the Gardening B&B in Natchez, and what a treat it was! The antebellum home is so quaint, perfectly decorated and very inviting! Our suite was on the first floor (there are three floors) and quite spacious. The bedroom has a canopy bed, a delft tile fireplace, built-in bookcases and a writing desk. The gigantic bathroom has a shower, a separate w/c with a sink, and a large counter in the main bathroom with a sink and large mirror.
Breakfast is included in the stay, and chef Kevin prepares delicious breakfasts! Each room has a menu from which to select a breakfast from five options and two breakfast times – 7:30 or 8:30. Since I’m not a big breakfast eater, I ordered the gouda grits and sweet potato muffin. The grits are creamy and perfectly seasoned, and the muffin quite tasty. My husband ordered the traditional breakfast consisting of two eggs, bacon, sausage, grits and sweet potato muffin. He ate every morsel on his plate and was fortified for most of the day. Breakfast beverages include juices and help yourself coffee in the back parlor. The house is clean, inviting and in a perfect location – near the river and main Natchez attractions. The owner, Dan, is very friendly and accommodating as well as quite an accomplished pianist. (Trip Advisor Review)

Step Back in Time. Beautiful, historic B&B with absolutely WONDERFUL hospitality and breakfast! Garden Song was a very special experience. Kevin, the general manager and chef, and owner Dan could not have been friendlier — and the breakfast was WONDERFUL. We were made to feel like family; Natchez itself is extremely friendly and open, in addition to being a large part of Southern, pre Civil War history. A fun, informative, thoroughly recommended experience. (Trip Advisor Review)

Dan, the host, is a very talented person. He is a pianist, singer, historian, writer, interior designer, antique lover, furniture maker, all with in depth knowledge. So, Dan can strike interesting conversation with anyone. You will love his charming personality. As a host of B&B he is the best. The GardenSong is decorated with antiques from Europe. However, the wall paper on hall way is quite unique – Great Wall – a very rare one. The rooms are comfortable, well decorated, and pleasant. I must mention its breakfast chef and manager, Kevin. One must try his grit with shrimp and crepe before you check out. I recommend this place without reservation. (BedandBreakfast.com Review)

I don’t think it was an accident that we came upon this lovely B&B! It was meant to be! We found Dan, a wonderfully talented and kind host, beautiful rooms and memorable gardens. We were treated to a detailed account of the history of the home and its gardens. Breakfast was prepared and served by Kevin, who is not just the cook. He is, I’m sure, an integral part of the success of this outstanding B & B. I could go on and on but suffice it to say – don’t miss it! (Trip Advisor Review)

We liked it so much we stayed a second night! We felt at home from the minute we stepped inside. The house is so charming and laid out in such a welcoming way. We really enjoyed the complementary drinks and wine on the veranda in the evening. The breakfast served by Pastor Kevin was amazing and he gave us some great tips for things to do and visit in the area. We definitely recommend this place! (Trip Advisor Review)

Southern Hospitality at its best! I just can’t say enough about this gorgeous home and the sweet staff. Dan greeted us as we were pulling up to the curb. He absolutely made us feel at home. The Cole Porter suite was just perfect for our family with it’s extra sleeping area. Dan was so sweet to our daughter and played piano for us. Where else can you go & be serenaded in the evening?? Breakfast was just awesome & Chef Kevin is a wonderful person as well. We will definitely be back to this lovely town & this beautiful bed & breakfast. (Trip Advisor Review)

Dan’a house is lovely. While we were there, he even played the piano and sang for us as well as being very helpful with recommendations around Natchez. (GardenSong, Cole Porter Suite, Airbnb Review)

We only stayed 1 night at Dan’s mansion and only wished to have stayed longer. From the moment we checked in, we could feel the history of the house. Dan made us feel welcome and shared with us the history of the old days of Natchez and the house . Such an elegant and loving man. Being a frequent traveler , I don t remember staying in such an historical and comfortable and peaceful environment . A special thank you also to chef Kevin for an amazing breakfast, great gospel service recommendation and kindness. Thank you, wish I can come back some day. Anniversaries and birthday celebrations. Spent the most amazing weekend in Natchez, the best part being GardenSong. Dan, Kevin and staff could not have been more gracious. Beautiful grounds/ home. Dan is the most amazing pianist. Played for us during our entire visit. Welcomed requests and could play anything. He is quite the historian as well and gave us so much information on Natchez and his home. The most gracious host. Kevin is not only an amazing man but also the most incredible Chef. Food was 5-star quality. We will be back and have already recommended GardenSong to others. (Trip Advisor Review)

Great visit to Natchez! The epitome of Southern hospitality. Great host/owner Dan Gibson provided a spectacular anniversary weekend for us (40 yrs) and our close friends (45 yrs.) He is a wealth of historical knowledge, a wildly talented pianist, and a world-class host. Kevin Deason prepared amazing breakfasts, and a phenomenal last-evening dinner that was a highlight, and Cookie and Robert were fantastic as well, describing the history of both the home and gardens. Can’t say enough good things about GardenSpring – add it to your bucket list! (Trip Advisor Review)

Dad2sixmicks, May 2017

Southern Charm…Not To Be Missed! The previous reviews are amazing & did not disappoint! Dan Gibson is the most amazing Southern gentleman host and the best historian of his home & Natchez! We learned so much about this first settlement on the Mississippi River in the early 1700’s! We happened to be there during the Festival of Music (month of May), Dan suggested we attend “From Mississippi to Motown” and found it “top notch”. We shall return! Occasional Saturday night dinner is offered, so ask if you are interested. Kevin presented a marvelous selection of hot breakfast entrees to choose from in the morning! From the coffee & tea selections to the restful night & piano concerts during the day by our host, our stay was superb…we shall return! (Trip Advisor Review)

The highlight of our trip! Our stay at Garden Song is one of our favourite memories from our entire trip across the south. Dan couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome, and we thoroughly enjoyed his fabulous piano playing (look out for his version of Louis Armstrong’s ‘Miss New Orleans’), and his tales of historic Natchez. Kevin’s cooking is as delightful as his company, with his menu tailored to the carnivores and veggies among us. The house and the rooms are beautiful and we couldn’t recommend GardenSong more highly. Mark, May 2017

GardenSong B&B in Natchez MS exceeds expectations. At Garden Song B&B we experienced such warm hospitality with gracious southern charm from Dan. The location is great being easy walking distance through the historic part of town to the commercial core where historic sites and good restaurants can be found. This historic home’s bedrooms and sitting rooms were very comfortable and the garden charming. The true highlights were the fantastic breakfasts created by chef Kevin and his insightful conversation. We ended our bike ride down the Natchez Trace Parkway on a high note when we stayed at Garden Song B&B. (Trip Advisor Review)

A Hidden Gem!!! A hidden gem in Natchez!!! Located within walking distance to town, the Garden Song does not disappoint! It boasts all of the southern charm you seek when visiting Natchez without feeling like your lost in a giant house. Dan Gibson is a brilliant host! He is a born entertainer, be it with his natural hospitality or by sharing his gift of playing the piano. One could close their eyes and feel like you’ve stepped back into the 1800’s! The home itself is charming! I just love all his attention to detail! I left not as a guest but with a new friend. (Trip Advisor Review)

Great get away for us. It was wonderful vacation. We had never stayed an a B&B. It was a wonderful experience. The owner lives on premises and is very friendly and very helpful in making your stay memorable. The breakfast are cooked to order and a true chef prepares it to your request. The breakfast was enough for us to come back. We chose the shrimp and grits breakfast another couple chose the crepes so we got them the next day. Excellent. Room big comfortable beds with plenty of space. Dan, owner, recommended restaurants and they were excellent. Everything was so close., and it was safe you could walk safely any hour of the day or night. (BedandBreakfast.com Review)

Historic Natchez! The garden song house is simply beautiful and the whole experience is so wonderfully quirky and Dan the host couldn’t be more welcoming. I’d highly recommend the Saturday night dinner and piano evening, yummy food and great music played by Dan himself. Overall a truly memorable stay! (Trip Advisor Review)

Beautiful space, amazing host, impromptu cabaret! A beyond beautiful old home. Attic room is remarkable. Big, really cute. Nice views out dormer windows. The highlight is Dan and how marvelously accommodating, kind, and generous he was. And best of all, after dinner, Dan played piano hits and show tunes, and he and all the guests sang and drank. What a remarkable experience. My girlfriend and I loved our evening there!! (Trip Advisor Review)

Sean, April 2017

GardenSong Adds A Great Experience for a Stay in Natchez. My wife and I traveled to Natchez for the Spring Pilgrimage this April 2017. We were looking forward to several days of tours of the antebellum era homes and history. We looked at several BnB options in the area. We enjoy small formal gardens and the charm of the GardenSong home photos and its gardens appealed to us. Through Airbnb we booked the small suite upstairs. That began a complete new level of enjoyment and rich experiences for our trip. First, we received an almost immediate welcome from the home’s owner and host, Dan Gibson. We also had a phone call with Dan that was like talking to a good friend, not just courteous but genuinely warm and gracious. Next, once we arrived, the home and gardens were even more charming and enjoyable than we expected. The moment we walked in the door, the home itself was welcoming and relaxing. The front room included a baby grand piano that Dan played and sang for the guests several times during our stay (no hotel or simple room rental comes close to that extra charm). The small suite of rooms we stayed in was very spacious, period furniture and beds very comfortable, and the house areas so enjoyable that we could easily envision this being a retreat for a much longer stay. In addition to the photos on the GardenSong website, there was much more of the manicured gardens and landscaping behind the home. We enjoyed this added dimension of environment every day. We know from experience that it’s easy to book some hotel room for a stay…but if you want to add an unexpected level of enjoyment for your Natchez visit, GardenSong will introduce you to 2 of the finest people my wife and I have met. Dan, the owner, was the epitome of genteel graciousness. There were several times he gave us and other guests a historical background of the home, which dates back to 1836. It has been featured in a number of national travel magazines and books. He also played the baby grand and sang several times for the guests as we relaxed with evening wine or after breakfast with our morning coffee. Dan also plays and sings during weekend evening dinner at one of the major antebellum townhomes/restaurants in the area, Monmouth. Kevin Deason, the chef at GardenSong, prepared 4-star breakfasts each morning that would easily have been a part of any fine dining establishment’s menu. We enjoyed a choice of 4 different breakfast options each morning. Each one was what you would hope for on a special vacation trip. Kevin himself is one of the most positive, personable people we have met. He is completely about your comfort and satisfaction as a guest in the home. I can only rate Dan, Kevin and GardenSong at the highest level in a review. As all travelers know, experiences become memories later. We enjoyed the antebellum homes and history during our 5 days in Natchez but our stay at GardenSong and our experience with Dan and Kevin added a complete other level of enjoyment to our trip. That experience will stay with us for a very long time. (Trip Advisor Review)

More than a B&B! Beautiful historic home in the center of Natchez. Dan is a warm and friendly host. He plays the piano beautifully and delighted my in-laws by having a sing-a-long with them. Kevin made what the eight people in my family deemed “The best breakfast ever!!!” His breakfast shrimp and grits are not to be missed. Dan and Kevin made our little family reunion special. GardenSong was a delightful surprise, well above what we have experienced in B&Bs before. Thank you guys!! (Trip Advisor Review)

Dan the Piano Man!. What a magical stay at GardenSong B&B. Thank you Dan. He is so warm and full of knowledge about GardenSong history. Also Dan is an amazing pianist and vocalist–what a treat to be serenaded as we got ready for dinner and then when we returned. A young couple staying there arrived after dinner also and they had amazing voices..truly a magical evening. Had to leave very early the next morning so missed Chef Kevin’s food, but understand it is delicious. Close to everything you will love Garden Song B&B. (Trip Advisor Review)

It feels like home at Garden Song B&B. We went to Natchez to visit the beautiful old homes during the Spring Pilgrimage. We were celebrating our 35th Anniversary. Staying at Garden Song B&B, which was in the middle of all of the homes we were planning to visit, felt like we were part of Natchez history. We feel like we have made new friends, with Dan and Kevin. It was a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Garden Song B&B. (Trip Advisor Review)

Beautiful, Cozy, Historic, Welcoming. This B&B couples beautiful and welcoming with historic and comfortable. With gourmet breakfast (Thank you Chef Kevin), serenades by owner/host Dan, and pleasant company, this was just what we needed for a perfect weekend away. Natchez is beautiful throughout, but make sure to pick this as your home away from home. Relax in the gardens with serene fountains and gorgeous blooms, and sip on complimentary wine. My mom and I had the best time, thanks Garden Song! (Trip Advisor Review)

Wonderful Visit at GardenSong B&B. The GardenSong B&B was a real treat for us. It had been recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. Not only was the house very pretty and tastefully decorated, but the garden was also beautiful. The owner, Dan, was very attentive and accommodating and the chef/manager, Kevin, was a wonderful chef. The included breakfast offered 4 choices, and the shrimp and Gouda grits was a hit! I would definitely go back to GardenSong and I have already recommended it to friends. (Trip Advisor Review)

Excellent B&B! We went here for our anniversary and had the best time. The owner Dan is so friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the home and Natchez. The breakfast we had was delicious. We had a group of ladies staying at the same time as us and i think we all enjoyed it so much. The home is beautiful and well preserved. You can come in and make yourself at home. There is so much to do whether it be tour Natchez, relax or walk the grounds you will enjoy yourself. This is a great place to just unwind and relax. (Trip Advisor Review)

A 7-Star experience! The GardenSong is richly deserving of praise on many levels. This is truly a home and guests are invited to share in making it their home. The home has been lovingly restored and brings back memories of a calmer, quieter time when life was just a bit slower. Its location in central Natchez could not be more convenient. Sit on the front porch and before long someone will pass and stop to welcome you to Natchez and have a chat. Lounge in the rear courtyard among the wisteria while you enjoy a lovely glass of wine or your morning coffee. Walk through the beautiful gardens and restore your inner peace. Meet proprietor Dan, a warm southern gentleman, who may delight you with an impromptu piano recital and will treat you as the best of friends. Sleep in a comfortable bed outfitted with fine linens and come down in the morning to the enticing smells of Chef Kevin’s amazing breakfast that is alone worth a trip to Natchez. Everything about the GardenSong is gentile, welcoming and more than you could ask for. You will not be disappointed. (Trip Advisor Review)

Wonderful place to experience Natchez! This lovely bed-and-breakfast is elegant yet feels comfortable and intimate. The owner, Dan, and chef/manager Kevin are friendly and solicitous. Charming! Was not quite sure when I arrived if this place was going to suit our needs. I quickly realized that it was a perfect place to stay while doing a road trip through the south with my grown son. The room was on the third floor giving us enough space and privacy for both. Charming older home with quirky frog wall paper in the bathroom. Clean and comfortable beds. The best part was our breakfast unbelievable cooked by Kevin who made the stay that much more enjoyable with great conversation and a true warmth. We felt like we were old friends. Thank you Kevin. Keep in touch. (Trip Advisor Review)

An up-to-date, formal, in-town historic house where one is made to feel very much at home. Lovely gardens and a walk around the neighborhood acquaints one quickly with the special place that is Natchez. Kevin, our breakfast chef, who served up a warmth not unlike that of the southern biscuit he prepared, added a graciousness that will remain with us far beyond our brief stay. (GardenSong, Nat King Cole Suite, Airbnb Reviews)

True Southern Hospitality! When you arrive to Natchez it is already a great experience. This is a unique City with a tremendous history which the locals have made sure to preserve and cherish so that all of us can also get to know it. When you are arrive to “Gardensong” you feel as if you were transported back in time but you also have all the great comforts. The real difference is that Dan and Kevin make sure you feel at home (if not better)! Thanks to our friends who live in Gulfport (MS) is how we got to hear about Natchez. They also booked our stay at the Gardensong B&B. The whole trip was magical and rewarding.
Dan plays the piano and sings according to what he perceives are your tastes based on your origins, etc. In our case he was right on the dime!! We truly enjoyed his music and dissertations about the very interesting local history. Kevin makes great breakfasts and very discretely engages in conversations which are very rich in history and tradition. We could have spent hours!! My si and I are very pleased to recommend both Natchez and “Gardensong”. Together they will transport you back in time to this incredible part of the great county that is the United States of America. Thank you Dan and Kevin. We will see you soon again!! Staying at Dan’s Bed and Breakfast was a delight! Natchez is a quaint historic town which we hadn’t been to before and thoroughly enjoyed. The highlight was sitting on the porch with the perfect early evening night with the perfect weather, while Dan played and sang songs on the piano. One of those perfect moments. Kevin’s breakfasts are divine. We loved walking all over and this place is a very nice location. Be sure to drive through both cemeteries. I highly recommend staying here because it is a wonderful old home and even more so because the warmth of the owner and chef make you want to return. (GardenSong, Cole Porter Suite, Airbnb Review)

Charming B&B in Natchez. A hidden treasure lies in store for visitors to Garden Song B&B in Natchez. This historic old home, built in 1836 and restored to its current Marchvelous condition, is as charming as they come. The Nat King Cole Suite is large bordering on huge, with bathroom facilities worthy of the most expensive hotels. A roomy shower, Separate toilet/sink room with heated toilet seat and bidet and ample storage for everything you might bring with you make this an object of envy which you would likely wish you could transport to your own home. Amenities are provided in the form of beer or wine in the garden room (at no extra charge) and a sumptuous breakfast provided by Chef Kevin, who was also our pleasant host. The bed in our room was one of the most comfortable in which we have slept anywhere. And the hidden treasure? Garden Song is a delightful place to stay! We slept in the Nat King Cole suite. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower, 2 areas with sinks and closet space. The bedroom has a very comfortable bed, TV and bookcases filled with reading material. This suite adjoins the back enclosed sun porch. The front parlor made me feel like I was at home with comfy over-sized seating, lots of windows with some looking into the garden and a grand piano which during our stay, Dan, the owner serenaded us with his playing. Kevin prepared the most delicious breakfasts and for myself, who is gluten sensitive, went to great steps to insure I had a tasty meal that was also gluten free. My husband ate the shrimp and grits both mornings! I was treated to a tomato, spinach and cheese omelet. Yum! The location of the home is perfect for walking through the beautiful downtown neighborhoods and just a few blocks from shopping and dining. We can’t wait to go back with friends and family! Such a beautiful property in residential beautiful Natchez, Mississippi. As soon as you step into the manicured garden, it’s like stepping back in time. All the day to day worries of modern life ebb away &
you are transported to a place of tranquility & peace. It’s difficult to believe that this & several other houses on the myrtle-lined street were actually prefabricated elsewhere! Our Cole Porter suite was spacious & so full of character. The bed was utterly comfortable! Dan is absolutely charming, a warm & welcoming host, who serenaded us on the piano after breakfast. Breakfast was a choice of southern-style fare, cooked to order by Kevin, who is simply a lovely guy, who, when he’s not busy feeding guests, strives to improve the lives of others in the community. We were honoured to meet you both thank you! (GardenSong, Cole Porter Suite, Airbnb Review)

GardenSong is awesome! We stayed in the 3rd floor suite which was cozy and even had a record player and some records… the breakfast was out of this world – that’s the main reason I chose this place over the others (I had seen a picture of the menu online) and it was a great decision! I had the Shrimp & Grits and my boyfriend had the omelet. Delicious. Kevin, the chef, was very amiable and accommodating. He mentioned as long as he has the ingredients, he’ll make the guests anything they want for breakfast. The property was cozy and interesting, we even read some scary stories out of the Haunted Natchez book in the living room. Beautiful garden. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, etc. Very nice! Unfortunately the owner/host Dan was out of town, so we didn’t get to meet him, but he was very communicative. Highly recommend! (GardenSong, Vivaldi Suite, Airbnb Review)

We enjoyed our stay very much! The weather really tricked us, who’d have known Natchez would have snow and ice!!! The town was pretty much closed down, But Dan made us feel right at home! He had a fire going in the fireplace, and offered us wine . we braved the cold and walked a few blocks to get supper, but none of the restaurants were open! We debated staying an extra night because the roads were still bad, and Dan was quick to accommodate us!!!! We went ahead and left, made it home safe it just took extremely long Chef Kevin was also great and the breakfast food was fantastic! Thanks for everything! Fabulous, this is the place against which all others should be compared. Dan went out of his way to accommodate a last minute schedule change on my part, everything went off without a hitch. Quite area, beautiful home, easy walking distance to downtown. Rather than repeat the things I see in the earlier reviews, I’ll just say my next trip to Natchez will include a stay at GardenSong! Without doubt the best place we stayed in during our road trip down south. The house and the room are beautiful and Dan went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. This probably sounds like one of those fake reviews you get but honestly it was a lovely stay. (GardenSong, Cole Porter Suite, Airbnb Review)

Girls weekend get away! Let me start by saying us girls went to the Gardensong Bed & Breakfast for the weekend to celebrate Cindy’s birthday. We had a great time. The place was clean, beds comfortable and hospitality was over the top. Kevin, the Chef has coffee early in the morning and wine in the evenings along with a warm fire and the best breakfast ever! He has a menu of breakfast choices but both days we chose the shrimp and grits because they were delicious along with sweet potato biscuits with jam. He is such a friendly chef and we enjoyed visiting with him. Then there is Dan, the owner who plays the piano and sings beautifully. He entertained us with his talents and hospitality. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will be back. If you are looking for a great place…stay at the Gardensong, you will love it. (Trip Advisor Review)

Wonderful! What a great place. Our host, Dan made us feel very welcome. And goodness, Chef Kevin is a real hospitality professional. Kevin makes a beautiful and tasty breakfast. The first night we had the run of the house, which Dan has only owned about six months, but the operation was so smooth that seemed he had been in the hospitality business forever. Dan’s cute girlfriend Sheila stopped by and the two of them gave us a beautiful mini concert. Talented!! Kevin was very helpful in helping us know what to do in Natchez. Both Kevin and Dan are very active in the community making it a better place. We stayed in the Nat King Cole suite and loved it. Very comfortable. Easy walking distance to downtown and the river. You will make a good choice to stay at GardenSong. (Trip Advisor Review)

Great B&B, amazing beds! Spent a night here and it was great! The master bed in the Cole Porter suite was SO comfortable, felt like sleeping on clouds. We didn’t meet Dan but Kevin was very friendly and cooked us an amazing breakfast. The house is pretty and is located on a beautiful street, not a long walk to town. Would highly recommend! Great place to stay! This was a fabulous place to stay in Natchez. The Cole Porter suite was perfect for our family of four and our kids loved their own little annex. The house is clean, extremely well kept and charming. Perfect location within Natchez. Oh and delicious breakfast! Dan the owner is so easy to work/communicate with and Kevin made a fantastic breakfast. Can’t wait to return! (Trip Advisor Review)

How do we start? The owner, Dan Gibson? Chef Kevin? Or Garden Song itself? Turning onto Washington Avenue, a magnificent crepe myrtle lined street, to our right stood Garden Song B&B and it’s exquisitely manicured gardens. Upon entering, we immediately felt the embrace of this gracious and very southern home. From the 10 foot Christmas tree, fireplace, and baby grand piano in the front parlor, to the ambience of the sunroom with its nicely stocked mini-fridge and finally to our spacious second floor suite complete with all the amenities……everything made us delighted with the discovery of this gem in Natchez. The warmth of this home did little to prepare us for our host, Dan, and his chef, Kevin. Much has been written in reviews about Dan sharing his impressive musical gift, but we never imagined how moved we would be by his genuine love of entertaining. It was unquestionably apparent after meeting these two men that their primary goal was caring for their guests and making everyone feel “at home”. Each morning we were presented with four unique and delicious breakfast choices ranging from shrimp and grits to bacon, eggs, grits, and sweet potato biscuits. All were perfectly prepared by Chef Kevin and served in a sunlit dining room that overlooks both the front and rear gardens. After longs days of shopping and touring, we felt perfectly comfortable “raiding the kitchen” and relaxing in front of the always awaiting, crackling fire. Our four day stay at Garden Song seemed too short as we drove away hearing Dan, through the open front door, playing his piano. Wish there was a way to award more than 5 STARS! Romantic vacation! GardenSong is the best B&B we’ve stayed in. We’ve been to many in our 31 years of marriage. Dan, the host, was so kind and attentive. He is a great pianist, and he was like f enough to serenade us with my favorite song, Somewhere In Time. We stayed in the Nat King Cole room. Fabulous room! The Chef, Kevin, was just as kind and attentive. His breakfasts are awesome! The home and gardens are dreamy! Do yourself a favor and stay at GardenSong if you happen to find yourself in Natchez. Dan and Kevin will make you feel at home. (Trip Advisor Review)

Natchez is my hometown and I was at home visiting my extended family for the Thanksgiving holiday. My stay at GardenSong honestly made my trip! This bed and breakfast is a stellar example of everything wonderful about the South. Dan’s hospitality is beyond measure! Our mornings began with the most incredible breakfasts prepared by the fabulous Chef Kevin, a beautiful fire in the fireplace, wonderful conversations with Dan’s family, and just when it doesn’t seem possible it could get any better . . . Dan playing the piano and singing for us in his beautiful parlor. My boys, 11 and 14, were in absolute heaven and are excited to return. (Notable bonus for kiddos: old fashioned malt shop around the corner!) Thank you Dan for a wonderful stay and making us feel so welcome in your beautiful home. The home is beautiful and we felt so welcomed. The area is great for walking and being near all the downtown shopping and places to eat. Dan played the piano and night and in the morning. He arranged for us to visit one of the homes that is not always open. He gave us so many ideas of things to do. (GardenSong, Cole Porter Suite, Airbnb Review)
